The NT-1p is a contactless tonometer-pachymeter with an innovative design, fully automated from the beginning to the end of the measurement process. A product of NIDEK's expertise and technological knowledge, the new NT-1P model combines automation, user-friendliness, and ergonomic features for an optimal and comfortable clinical examination for the patient.
With a large tilting and swiveling screen, the NT-1p offers exceptional installation flexibility, adapting to various situations and the specific needs of patients and clinics. This functional feature allows optimal customization of the device.
Regarding the measurement of intraocular pressure (IOP), the NT-1p uses the same principle as air-puff tonometers, measuring the force needed to deform the eye and deducing the pressure. However, the NT-1p stands out by automatically compensating for the patient's central corneal thickness, ensuring more accurate IOP values.
The joystick, in addition to the touch screen, provides the operator with the ability to make fine adjustments to facilitate alignment, even on eyes with poor fixation. The four-direction button on this new joystick allows smooth movement of the measuring unit forward, backward, right, and left.
Patient comfort is a priority with APC (Automatic Puff Control) technology, which automatically adjusts the air puff's power based on the patient's intraocular pressure, optimizing comfort and reducing noise during measurement.
